IgA antibodies against deamidated gliadin peptides in patients with chronic liver diseases

► CD-related autoantibodies are common in patients with chronic liver disorders. ► Anti-DGP-IgA and anti-tTG-IgA detected in 8.5% and 5.8% of our liver disease patients. ► Anti-DGP-IgG antibodies detected in only one patient (0.15%). ► Anti-DGP-IgA test seems better for unmasking occult CD in liver disease patients. ► Anti-DGP-IgG did not achieve the known good performance in this group of patients.
