Comparison of automated multiplexed bead-based ANA screening assay with ELISA for detecting five common anti-extractable nuclear antigens and anti-dsDNA in systemic rheumatic diseases

►We evaluated an automated analyzer BioPlex 2200 for the detection of autoantibodies. ►Concordance rates between autoantibodies by ELISA and BioPlex were 88.1% to 95.2%. ►The BioPlex could detect multiple autoantibodies concurrently from a single sample. ►This new multiplex assay could be effectively used in clinical laboratories.
