Some 2S albumin from peanut seeds exhibits inhibitory activity against Aspergillus flavus

► Peanut 2S albumin treated with SDS revealed a high inhibitive role to Aspergillus flavus. ► The antifungal activity of 2S albumin seems to present in the complex protein of seeds. ► The results help us to know a new function of storage protein in peanut seeds. ► The results will open up a new research area for the study of peanut resistance to A. flavus.
