New approach to distinguishing chemoattractants, chemorepellents and catabolised chemoeffectors for Campylobacter jejuni

The tHAP assay is an assay designed to assess the chemoresponses of Campylobacter jejuni as well as to differentiate between catabolisable and non-catabolisable chemoattractants and chemorepellents. Cellular respiration, as a measure of metabolic function of the migrated C. jejuni cells, converts a colourless chemical compound TTC to red-coloured TPF around the chemoeffector-containing plug.
