► We have made a mineral mix to enrich rotifers with Mn, Cu, Zn and Cu. ► Level of minerals in rotifers was often linearly related to the diet concentrations. ► Water soluble minerals are less efficiently enriched than particle bound minerals. ► The minerals were retained in rotifers over time in clean water.
