Induction of triploidy in turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) does not affect gross body morphology and skeleton characteristics

► Production of triploid fish has been associated with morphological malformations. ► Body characteristics were determined in diploid and triploid hatchery-reared turbot. ► None of the body ratios showed significant differences between ploidy groups. ► The incidence of fish with skeletal abnormalities was similar in both groups.
