Trichuris suis-induced modulation of human dendritic cell function is glycan-mediated

► Trichuris suis soluble products (SP) modulate human dendritic cell (DC) function. ► Trichuris suis SP suppress LPS and TNF-α-induced secretion of pro-inflammatory mediators. ► The T. suis SP induced suppression of cytokines and chemokines is glycan-dependent. ► Glycans of T. suis SP contribute to the increase of OX40L expression on DCs. ► Human DCs bind T. suis glycans via the C-type lectin receptors, DC-SIGN and MR.
