Endotoxin adsorption: Direct hemoperfusion with the polymyxin B-immobilized fiber column (PMX)

In this study, we reviewed and introduced the development, clinical use, and efficacy of Toraymyxin and commented on its anticoagulant use and cartridge clotting issue in the treatment of severe sepsis and septic shock. We also highlighted potential new applications of Toraymyxin for longer duration therapy and pulmonary diseases.
