Wound healing is a complex biological process which results in the restoration of tissue integrity after a trauma. Many factors can interfere with this process and wound healing could be affected by several intrinsic or extrinsic factors. Due to their pharmacological properties, some drugs could interfere with the physiological process and delay the wound healing with some serious complications. Antineoplastic agents, immunosuppressants are well known to delay wound healing. Moreover, Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs or anticoagulants could also affect wound healing. Finally, nicorandil could lead skin or mucosal ulcerations.
