Comparaison d'un système de mesure automatique de l'indice de pression systolique à la mesure par doppler manuel

Peripheral Arterial Disease diagnosed by the ankle-brachial pressure index is common in elderly over 75. Dopplex® ABility plethysmography would be time-saving and less operator dependant than the reference method in ABPI measurement. The aim of this study was to validate the correlation of Dopplex® ABility ABPI testing with the doppler technique in inpatients over 75. Finally Dopplex® ABility does not correlate with doppler in ABPI testing of inpatients over 75. Toe photoplethysmography, already used in diabetes, might be better correlated in elderlies.
