Pressure ulcers may induce the persistance of undesired tissues over the wound, potentially issuing to patient infection and for healing prognosis. It is so necessary to propose a débridement, either autolytic by the use of adapted dressings, mechanical or surgical. These techniques should be known by any care giver as well as their respective indications. New therapeutic proposals emerge, either when the mechanical débridement is not possible linked to the severity of the arteriopathy, or in situations of surgical contra-indications with new alternatives.
