Evidence of QTLs on chromosomes 13q and 14q for triglycerides before and after 20 weeks of exercise training: The HERITAGE Family Study

These results represent the first report of linkage for the lipoprotein subfractions and for the lipid and lipoprotein responses to exercise training. It is interesting that the strongest signals were found for the LDL-TG and HDL-TG subfractions, given their particular relationships with the atherogenic lipid profile including dense LDL and HDL particles.
