PBPC collection techniques: standard versus large volume leukapheresis (LVL) in donors and in patients

LVL should be used in circumstances where extremely high doses of CD 34+ cells has to be prepared, e.g. planned “tandem” transplantations or manipulations with a graft in which a significant loss of cells is expected.
