Vapour pressures and enthalpies of vapourization of a series of the linear aliphatic nitriles

Vapour pressures and the molar enthalpies of vapourization ΔlgHm∘ of the linear aliphatic nitriles C7-C17 have been determined by the transpiration method. Kovat's indices of these compounds were measured by capillary gas-chromatography. A linear correlation of enthalpies of vapourization ΔlgHm∘ at T = 298.15 K of the nitriles studied with the Kovats indices has been found.
