Synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction studies on the order-disorder phase transition in lithium ferrites

Synchrotron X-ray measurements have been performed in the temperature range 10-300 K and 300-1173 K. The diffraction experiments were carried out at the DESY-HASYLAB high-resolution powder diffractometer (beamline B2). The transition from ordered (cubic primitive, P4132) to disordered (face centred cubic, Fd3m) structure was observed with the increasing Mn3+ content.
