MRI of left ventricular diverticulosis

Using a retrospective gated turbo-field-echo single-shot-free-precision Cine-MR technique temporal and spatial resolution is sufficient enough to detect left ventricular diverticula. MRI is valuable for the exact differentiation of muscular contracting diverticula and dyskinetic or non-contracting fibrous diverticula which might be important for the management of such malformations.
