Maximum entropy modeling of mature hardwood forest distribution in four U.S. states

▶ We modeled mature hardwood forest locations using presence-only data. ▶ Fine-scale geographic data was superior to coarse-scale data for modeling. ▶ Nationally available GIS data was sufficient to identify mature hardwood forest. ▶ We identified thresholds that identified occurrences while rejecting non-occurrences.
