Automatic nematode detection in cod fillets (Gadus morhua L.) by hyperspectral imaging

► A new high-resolution hyperspectral imaging system has been developed. ► The system is capable of detecting nematodes in cod fillets at a belt speed of 40 cm/s. ► The system performs similar to manual inspection with respect to detection rate. ► The system is evaluated under industrial conditions at a fish processing plant in northern Norway.
