Soil structure and soil hydraulic properties of Haplic Luvisol used as arable land and grassland

▶ Soil porosity and hydraulic properties for arable land and grassland were studied. ▶ Properties of the A1, A2 and BT1 horizons at booth locations were different. ▶ Porosities and soil water retentions in grassland were higher than in arable land. ▶ Gravitational pores were mostly eliminated in grassland. ▶ Therefore the Ks values in grassland were lower than in arable land.
