Sibling contact among Swedish children in foster and residential care-Out of home care in a family service system

► We have interviewed 240 children in Swedish residential and foster care. ► Nearly 40% of the children see their siblings more seldom than monthly. ► The children want more frequent sibling contacts. ► The Swedish family service system does not guarantee desired contacts with siblings. ► From a children's rights perspective it is fundamental to facilitate sibling contact.
