The tip of the tip of the knife: Stab sequence reconstruction using postmortem CT in a homicide case

• In conclusion PMCT was able to detect the two parts of the tip of the knife stuck in the corpse.
• PMCT was capable of depicting the stab wound sequence.
• PMCT was able to detect the small point tip fragment of the knife and helped guiding the autopsy.

We present an exceptional case of a homicide involving a knife, which broke during the incident. PMCT succeeded in not only detecting the fragments but also allowed for a reconstruction of the course of events.
