Acquisition de supports prédéterminés destinés à la réalisation de bifaces : l'exemple de sites de surfaces du Sud-Est marocain

The residual massifs composed by magmatic and sedimentary rocks are very numerous in South-Eastern Morocco. The discovery of large Lower Paleolithic open-air sites indicates that those lithic materials have been intensively exploited by Acheulian populations. Using the reduction sequences as analytical tool, the authors present the methods of acquisition of raw material used for the production of the handaxes founded in these large-sized workshops.
