Optimization of biogas production from cattle manure by pre-treatment with ultrasound and co-digestion with crude glycerin

► Small amounts of glycerin with cattle manure strongly increase biogas production. ► Applying ultrasound as a pre-treatment increased the production of biogas. ► Optimum proportion of glycerin added was 4% (mesophilic) and 6% (thermophilic).
