Failure of rocker arm shaft for 4-cylinder SOHC engine

Failure analysis of mechanical components is useful in predicting applied load as well as load type. This study examines the failure of a rocker arm shaft in the design stage and the robustness of its boundary condition using orthogonal arrays and ANOVA.
