Quantum dot nanoparticle for optimization of breast cancer diagnostics and therapy in a clinical setting

Quantum dots could be used for sentinel lymph node mapping and detection of cancer cells without the need for biopsy. Functionalized QD could be used for image-guided tumor resection to allow clear visualization of all cancer cells.
