Synthesis and evaluation of novel 2-butyl-4-chloro-1-methylimidazole embedded chalcones and pyrazoles as angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors

Screening all 36 new analogues of chalcones and pyrazoles using ACE inhibition assay, resulted three compounds as potent ACE inhibitors with IC50 of 2.24 μM, 2.68 μM, and 3.60 μM.
