Solution blowing of submicron-scale cellulose fibers

► Cellulose nanofibers were firstly prepared by solution blowing process. ► Coaxial solution blowing was reported as new core-shell nanofiber generation process. ► Core-shell nanofibers of cellulose-PEO were spun using the coaxial solution blowing process. ► Cellulose nanofibers were obtained after removal PEO shell. ► The structure of cellulose nanofibers were studied using XRD and TGA.
