Chemical modification and antioxidant activities of polysaccharide from mushroom Inonotus obliquus

► Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide was firstly modified by three chemical methods. ► The physicochemical properties were comparatively investigated. ► Chemical modification resulted in the change of physicochemical properties. ► Acetylationed Inonotus obliquus polysaccharide resulted in higher antioxidant abilities.
