Structure and antioxidant activity of an extracellular polysaccharide from coral-associated fungus, Aspergillus versicolor LCJ-5-4

► Exopolysaccharide AVP was obtained from Aspergillus versicolor LCJ-5-4. ► The main chain of AVP mainly consisted of glucopyranose units. ► The side chain contained mannopyranose trisaccharides units. ► AVP possessed a good antioxidant activity in vitro. ► AVP was a novel exopolysaccharide and potential source of antioxidant.
