Polyzwitterionic brushes: Extreme lubrication by design

The synthesis setup and pMPC brush and monomer structure are shown: the combination of brush-like supramolecular structure and highly-hydrated monomers (schematically shown on right) results in extremely efficient lubrication via the hydration lubrication mechanism.
