Solution-processable multicolored dithienothiophene-based conjugated polymers for electrochromic applications

► Soluble dithienothiophene based electrochromic polymers were synthesized. ► Polymers exhibit high optical contrasts in the visible and near-infrared regions. ► Purple polymer films become gray and then light blue upon progressive oxidation. ► Electrochromic devices were fabricated with relatively high stability.
