Addition of catalysts to magnesium hydride by means of cold rolling

► Cold rolled materials have similar hydrogen sorption kinetics. ► Ball milled samples showed smaller crystallite sizes and smaller particles sizes. ► Same catalysts gave the fastest dehydrogenation kinetics for both methods. ► Cold rolling could be used to add catalysts in the same way as ball milling.
