Structural stability of rubble-pile asteroids

► We investigate the local structural stability of rubble-pile asteroids. ► The stability analysis should be done out in the Tisserand's mean axes of the body. ► We probe stability to infinitesimal and finite perturbations of several NEAs. ► Explore influence of parameters such as internal friction and plastic bulk modulus. ► We obtain bounds on internal friction and plastic bulk modulus of some asteroids.
