Vulnérabilité et « créolité » : implications éthiques dans le soin

After a 15-year experience of medico-surgical practice in a creole society, we could identify a certain number of socio-cultural and historical determinants, which participate to the extreme vulnerability of Creole insular societies, confronted to the technological revolutions, which occurred these last decades in the bio-medical field. These specificities, which participate at the richness and originality of these communities, will not resist to the mutations due to modernity and, in particular, in the domain of standardized nosography. Taking into account that specific vulnerability should lead bio-medical workers to a paramount prudence in transfer and applications of health policies, this is, in our point of view, a moral, ethical and epistemological demand.
