Molecular cloning and characterization of a novel SK3-type dehydrin gene from Stipa purpurea

- The full-length DHN CDS was cloned from S. purpurea, named SpDHN1.
- Overexpression of SpDHN1 in Arabidopsis plants resulted in enhanced drought resistance.
- SpDHN1 may be a potential candidate gene for genetic improvement of crops.
