Role of NorR-like transcriptional regulators under nitrosative stress of the δ-proteobacterium, Desulfovibrio gigas

► D. gigas genome contains two NorR-like transcription factors, NorR1L and NorR2L. ► D. gigas NorRL1 gene complements the ΔE. coli norR mutant strain. ► NorR1L factor is regulating ROO expression under nitrosative stress. ► This factor is shown for the first time in the δ-proteobacterium, D. gigas.
