Fructose induces tubulointerstitial injury in the kidney of mice

► Fructose induced kidney injury in mice. ► Mice have differential susceptibilities to fructose-induced kidney injury. ► Only DBA/2N mice showed tubulointerstitial fibrosis in the outer cortex of kidney. ► Fructose increased the mRNA expression of GLUT5 in the kidney of DBA/2N mice. ► The progression of kidney injury was along with the accumulation of oxidative stress.
