A coronary artery disease-associated gene product, JCAD/KIAA1462, is a novel component of endothelial cell-cell junctions

► KIAA1462 gene is known to be associated with coronary artery disease. ► We identify KIAA1462 protein as a novel component of cell-cell junctions. ► KIAA1462 protein exclusively localizes at cell-cell junctions in endothelial cells. ► The localization of KIAA1462 protein depends on VE-cadherin-mediated cell adhesion.
