Mobility of late endosomal and lysosomal markers on phagosomes analyzed by fluorescence recovery after photobleaching

► Rab7 mobility between the phagosome membrane and cytosol was observed in macrophages that digest latex beads. ► IFN-γ-mediated activation reduced this mobility. ► LAMP1 mobility was restricted to phagosomes irrespective of IFN-γ-mediated activation. ► Mobility of Rab7 on mycobacterial phagosomes was restricted.
