Reconstitution of interactions of Murine gammaherpesvirus 68 M11 with Bcl-2 family proteins in yeast

► We have studied MVH-68 M11 by coexpression with other Bcl-2 family members in yeast. ► M11 directly inhibits both multidomain proapoptotic proteins Bax and Bak. ► Antiapoptotic activity of M11 can be inhibited by BH3-only proteins of the Bcl-2 family.
