Involvement of Rac GTPase activation in phosphatidylcholine hydroperoxide-induced THP-1 cell adhesion to ICAM-1

► PCOOH induced THP-1 cell adhesion to ICAM-1 via F-actin rich protrusion formation. ► Isoprenoid depletion abrogated the PCOOH-induced actin reorganization and subsequent cell adhesion. ► PCOOH activated Rac GTPases (Rac1 and Rac2). ► Inhibition of Rac function led to decreased protrusion formation and cell adhesion in PCOOH-treated cells.
