▶ Snow mold infection decreases turfgrass freezing tolerance. ▶ Incubation of annual bluegrass with snow mold decreases the concentration of cryoprotective sugars. ▶ Fructans of high degree of polymerization are associated to snow mold resistance. ▶ Some genotypes possess cross resistance to both freezing and snow mold.
