El primer ensayo de campo sobre cadena de frío vacunal en España (Alicante, 1986-1988)

The cold chain of vaccines, vertebral column of the programs of immunization, was object of a field trial on the province of Alicante (Spain) in 1986-1988, where was tested in three successive phases the characteristics of the vaccine supply, the conditions of storage and conservation of the vaccines, and the level of knowledge of the sanitary personnel in charge of its managing. The results showed the need to improve the material resources and to stimulate the educational training of the sanitary personnel implied.
