Studies of the role of tubulin beta II isotype in regulation of mitochondrial respiration in intracellular energetic units in cardiac cells

► The role of mitochondrial tubulin beta II and its role in respiration regulation are described. ► Mitochondrial tubulin beta II is rapidly removed by short proteolytic treatment of permeabilized cardiomyocytes. ► Removal of tubulin increases the permeability of outer mitochondrial membrane for ADP. ► Quality tests for isolated cardiomyocytes are described.
