Sustainability of National Immunization Programme (NIP) performance and financing following Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) support to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)

► Immunisation performance and financing increased significantly in DRC (2002-2010). ► Progress has been partly sustained but halted towards the end of the analysis period. ► This period (2007-2010) coincided with tetravalent and pentavalent introduction. ► Routine immunisation overall funding (except vaccines) decreased from 2006 to 2010. ► Overall funding primarily declined for surveillance, transport, cold chain equipment.
