Stability of a formalin-inactivated Rift Valley fever vaccine: Evaluation of a vaccination campaign for cattle in Mozambique

► Cattle were vaccinated with formalin-inactivated Rift Valley fever virus vaccine. ► Neutralizing antibodies were detected in 98% of cattle after two immunizations. ► Neutralizing antibody responses were detectable up to 21 months after vaccination. ► Antibody responses were not affected by vaccine storage at ambient temperatures. ► The antibody responses were not adversely affected by transport within Mozambique.
