The immune enhancement of a novel soy lecithin/β-glucans based adjuvant on native Neospora caninum tachyzoite extract vaccine in mice

► We demonstrate the immune enhancement of a tailored N. caninum vaccine in mice. ► Vaccine antigen was selected based on its capacity to activate dendritic cells. ► Vaccines with Providean-AVEC® adjuvant limited N. caninum infection. ► A tenth of the antigen payload was needed compared to other aqueous adjuvants. ► Protective responses against N. caninum entailed systemic IgG2a and IFN-γ.
