Seroprevalence of poliovirus antibodies amongst children in Zaria, Northern Nigeria

► We determined the seroprevalence of poliovirus antibodies of children in Zaria. ► Seropositivity to all polio serotypes was 55.3%. ► Seropositivity to P1P2P3 polioserotypes was 86.4%, 76.1% and 76.3%. ► Polio antibodies seropositivity was significantly associated with socioeconomic status. ► Immunisation status was the single most important determinant of seropositivity.
