Potential T cell epitopes within swine-origin triple reassortant influenza A (H3N2) variant virus which emerged in 2011: An immunoinformatics study

► We observed 65% of HA epitope conservancy across H3N2 strains. ► 76% of epitopes conserved in the stalk region of HA over 40 years. ► CD4+ T cell cross-reactivity was estimated to be ∼51% based on HA and M1 epitopes. ► CD8+ T cell cross-reactivity of ∼74% was documented for M1 protein. ► Analysis revealed the likely presence of T cell immunity to swine H3N2v in humans.
