Edwardsiella tarda flagellar protein FlgD: A protective immunogen against edwardsiellosis

► Based on the reverse vaccinology, 16 flagellar proteins were picked up for screening. ► FlgD had a high relative percent survival both in zebrafish and turbot. ► The distinct cell-mediated immune responses were induced in vaccinated zebrafish. ► The recombinant FlgD would be a promising candidate vaccine against edwardsiellosis.
